US Soccer Is Golden
Ahh, karma. Sometimes you’ve just got to <3 it... when you've been good that is. Maybe as some form of “Karma Kredit” (similar to a Schrute Buck, no doubt) for my not flipping-out from the Berkcam® getting lost in the ether on Saturday and enjoying M.L. and T’s “Big Fat Italian Wedding” till the break of dawn on Sunday… I got a major ticket upgrade for the next day’s 2007 Gold Cup Tournament Final at Soldier Field.
Goodbye, south goal’s 22nd row… hello, center pitch’s 6th row! And not just my two, but four, free additional $155.00 tickets to boot. Thankfully(?) I’m addicted to Sweet Mandy B’s, or I’d never have bumped into D.B. at John’s Place for him to gift me some Sprint V.I.P. tickets, after meeting my old UW “7 West Crew” at McGee’s for brunch. (Note: not as cool as Chicago Bear Greg Olsen’s UM “7th Floor Crew“… but we had the name first.) Back to the 2007 Gold Cup Tournament Final, though, after the jump.

As the streamers fell to the field, the army chanted U.S. cheers in an attempt provide some support for the red, white and blue amongst a predominately Mexican crowd. On the pitch, the tension was building.
