And so it begins. (No, not another Cubs losing season… those began 99 years ago.) The wait to see how long it takes until one can leave his winter jacket at home, before heading out to the old ballpark. I’m thinking May.
Reds 6 - Cubs 5. A one inning meltdown cost the Cubs the game:
Right-hander Carlos Zambrano started off strong against the Reds, but faltered in the fifth, giving up six runs to pick up his second loss. Faring better at the plate, the hurler went 2-for-2, belting his first home run of the season.
Asked after the game what wasn’t working, Sweet Lou replied “What the f*ck do you think isn’t working?”
