Berklie fave Chicagoist.com turned three this week and decided to do a little celebrating at Subterranean last night. As they put it though, “if you measure our age in dog years, we’re about to celebrate our 21st birthday!” Makes sense to us.
On hand to entertain (”are you not entertained?!”) were Chicago acts We Make Thunder, Sweetish and Milk At Midnight… followed up by The Hood Internet DJ’s. They all represented, but what made this Thursday night kick-off really worthwhile was the upstairs bar crew. What would Jenna drink?

Finally, finally! No more fees for hunting down phone numbers, thanks to Google Voice Local Search. Sure, Google SMS has been rocking-it for a while now (try the demo with something like “pizza 60657”)… but this completes their arsenal of navigation-assistance goodness.

Oh… good… God. This application might be could be is reserved only for nerd royalty. Winners beware, this is for losers only!
Pizza Party is a software package that allows you to order pizza directly from the Linux Command Line! And if you leave your door unlocked (you know, from the last time you actually got up and used it), you won’t even have to get up to answer it. Let’s integrate PayPal into future versions, for absolutely no energy expenditure.
